Announcing our newest client partnership

Maggie Fox, July 31 2007

We’re thrilled to announce that Social Media Group has been selected by the Ford Motor Company to help develop their global social media strategy. It’s a tremendous project with an amazing group of people who really understand the changing nature of communications, and we’re so very excited to be a part of Ford President and CEO Alan Mulally’s well articulated plan for the turnaround of this great company.

Work begins in early August. We will be adding a few new team members to ensure the same level of quality service our clients have become accustomed to (so please send any referrals our way!), and introductions will be forthcoming.

And, especially to our existing clients and dear friends of SMG – your support over the (almost!) first twelve months of our existence has helped put us on the map as one of North America’s premier social media agencies. Thank you.

Like I said earlier, great job!... this clearly demonstrates the increasing relevance of, and demand for, social media integration within the corporate environment. Can't wait to see what comes of it.
respect!
Congrats Maggie, You're working with a client with a lot of potential. My wife and I bought a Hybrid Escape last year - and we love it. A great vehicle - perfect for three kids and a dog - but with great mileage. If Ford can produce more products like this, you'll definitely have a solid foundation for community building.
Ahhh... Wow! Quite a project. Congratulations!
Congratulations, Maggie. This is terrific news!! I wish you all the best with this project.
Thanks very much to all of you for your kind words - we have an amazing community of social media professionals here in Canada, and it's my sincere hope that this "rising tide will raise all boats..."
Maggie, that's awesome! Now, if I could have some of the whatever it is you're giving your prospects, acidlabs will do for Australian social media what you're doing in Canada.
